Every year the Marin branch of MTAC presents a “play-a-thon” to raise money for the San Francisco - Marin Food Bank.
"WILL PLAY 4 FOOD 2023" will be our third annual “play-a-thon” benefit concert. All students are welcome and invited to participate. And we also encourage our member teachers to perform for the event as well.
This live “play-a-thon” will be a full afternoon of concerts held on Sunday, March 19, 2023. The concerts will be live streamed to YouTube via our branch YouTube channel.
On Sunday, March 19, 2023, please join us for a special event, WILL PLAY 4 FOOD 2023, to benefit the San Francisco - Marin Food Bank.
To be a part of this event, students must:
1. Let their teachers know they want to sign up for the event
2. Complete and submit a signed release form giving MTAC Marin permission to broadcast their performance
Once you are signed up, you’ll be given a performance time on Sunday, March 19th.
On March 19th, you’ll join the zoom recital at your assigned time, and you can perform live from your home.
Family, friends and neighbors will be able watch live via YouTube.
There will be link to the San Francisco - Marin Food Bank so that your audience can donate while you’re playing!
As of Spring 2022, the food bank has been seeing historic levels of need, with 2 times as many households now receiving weekly groceries.
They’ve opened 29 new pop up pantries and they’re delivering food to over 8,000 seniors who are sheltering at home due to COVID.
It’s always fun to share our music with others; it’s even better when we can use our music to do something good for our community.
