Branch Recitals

Monthly Student Recitals

Our teachers know that one of the great joys of learning to play music is to share that gift with others through performance. This is why MTAC Marin offers monthly student recitals. All students and all instruments are welcome to participate. The monthly recitals take place on Zoom Meetings until further notice. Please take a look at our events calendar to discover upcoming recitals and performance events.

Special Recitals

Among our monthly recital offerings are a few special events:

  • The Teen Recital, chaired each year by branch member Gini Wilson, showcases our more experienced young musicians.

  • The Adult Recital, hosted each year by branch member Karen Fournier, offers adult students an opportunity to perform for one another in a more casual venue.

  • The Spring Festival, our closing event of the school year.

How to Register Your Student

If you are a teacher and wish to register a student for one of our recital events, please email the recital chairperson. The recital chairperson’s contact information is available on the recital event page via the calendar. The subject line of your email should contain the date of the recital. Please send a numbered list of your student entries. Each entry should contain the following information:

  • The student’s full name, as it should appear on the program.

  • The student’s instrument.

  • The repertoire to be performed. Please be thorough and provide movement numbers and titles, as well as opus numbers when relevant.

  • The composer’s full name.

  • The student’s level. Use the Certificate of Merit syllabus as a guide to determine the difficulty level of your student’s repertoire. This information will help the recital chairperson draft an effective recital program.
